Mushaboom;

Helping the kids out of their coats
But wait the babies haven't been born
Unpacking the bags and setting up
And planting lilacs and buttercups

But in the meantime we've got it hard
Second floor living without a yard
It may be years until the day
My dreams will match up with my pay

Old dirt road,
knee deep snow
Watching the fire as we grow

I got a man to stick it out
And make a home from a rented house
And we'll collect the moments one by one
I guess that's how the future's done
This song is wonderful and if you've never heard it, I highly suggest you look it up! Feist is one of my favorites.

Michael and I moved into our very own place this past week. We finally feel grown up---a nice place to live and real furniture! No more entertainment center made of cinder blocks, wood, and bricks. We're still getting things set up and unpacked, but we're getting there and it's starting to look like a home.

For breakfast today, Michael made the yummiest sunny-side-up breakfast nachos! Super easy to make (you probably have everything in your fridge for them already) and very very delicious.

We're finally in the single digits of how long we have left until Olivia's due date. 9 weeks and counting! It's super exciting and, though I feel we still have so much to do, I've realized that we really don't. Newborns don't need much. She has food, a place to sleep, clothes, and two eager parents, anxious to give her as much love as they can.

The baby shower is in a few weeks, and I'm very much looking forward to that. I've never been to one so I'm not really sure what to expect, but I know it will be fun. Speaking of our baby shower, I'm pretty sure someone I used to work with invited himself to it yesterday when I was at work. At the end of our conversation, I left feeling a bit confused. I'm sure he'll forget about it, as he doesn't know when, what time, or where it's going to be. But, still.... Inviting yourself to someone's baby shower? Call me old fashioned but that's definitely a faux-pas in my book.

I should be getting dressed for work right now, but I just don't feel like it. Working 4-midnight was super easy at first, but it's starting to wear me out. I've been so exhausted lately and am ready for bed by 9. So, staying up until midnight and driving the 40 minutes home (there's construction on our normal route to work, so we have to take this awful, long back road) has not been fun for this lady. I'm giving myself one more minute---wonder how many "one more minutes" I'll give myself.
